Introducing Gabrielle Rose

Here is a cute photo of our Gabrielle Rose. She is almost ready to walk. I cannot believe how fast time flies. With our first-born and most of the other children, we encouraged, almost pushed them to learn to walk. All of that changed with the arrival of our twins girls. We were so busy, we didn't have time to worry about teaching them to walk. Strangely, they just seemed to pick all that up on their own, quite naturally. We even had to laugh at ourselves that we had spent so much time practicing with our eldest. It was fun, but seemingly unnecessary.

Recently, another life lesson has been learned. I must admit to feeling sadness at Gabrielle's attempts at walking even though it is so adorable. She stands up on her two chubby feet, arches back and forth as she tries to balance herself, arms straight out on either side, and then she takes one, two, three.....five steps at a time now. She seems in no hurry to actually move much further than that which is fine with me. Stay a baby. The new life lesson is that childhood rushes by so quickly. The little baby that was here just a few months ago is already ready to go off exploring by herself. I am quite content to let her work this out on her own. Let's keep it to 5 steps baby Gabi. Let's not hurry things.

Father's Day

Outside my Window… a bright, blue, sunny day
I am thinking…about how many blackberries the twins are eating at Grandma's house.
I am thankful for…my husband on Father's Day
From the kitchen…a Prime Rib dinner for my husband
I am creating…a timeline for our schoolroom of Ancient Greece and Rome
I am going…to visit with relatives later today
I am wearing…black slacks and a light blue shirt..no shoes
I am reading…lots of lesson plans
I am hoping…to sell our flip house soon
I am hearing…My husband call to our crawling baby and telling her hello.
Around the house…I am relaxed. Decided it is summer as well as Sunday so I will not clean before the relatives come like I usually do.
One of my favorite things…chubby baby feet and surprise kisses from the kids
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week…laundry, lesson planning, curriculum shopping, school room preparation, weeding the flower beds, trying to have fun in between
A Picture worth sharing…the kids in front of a palm tree at Miami Beach, Florida on Christmas morning after Mass.
